What is it?
The Leadership Incubator (TLI) is a leadership workshop series and a learning journey for business leaders. As you prepare for leadership responsibilities, it is important that you acquire and apply critical leadership, problem solving, decision-making and communication skills to help you deliver team results. The objective of this workshop series is to gradually build those skills to help you succeed in leading your team.
Who is it for?
This workshop series is designed for business leaders, people managers either first time or those with substantial experiences already. Function heads such of finance, marketing, production, human resources development, logistics, sales and business development would greatly benefit from this leadership workshop series.
The series is composed of 3 workshops. You can choose to either participate in all 3 workshops at a special price (15% discount of the total price) or just take part in the single sessions. Contact us if you wish to take part in the complete series.
Session 3: Essential Communication Skills
The Essential Communication Skills session helps you become an effective communicator – a hallmark of effective leadership. Whether you are sharing your team vision, brainstorming for potential solutions, facilitating a meeting, speaking in front of a small or large audience, it is crucial that you total awareness of yourself, your message and your ability to influence your team members and your audience. Using highly interactive learning activities, you will participate individually and in groups to experience and build your communication skills such as understanding the communication basics, presenting and summarizing, influencing using the 3 golden skills of advocacy, acknowledgement and inquiry; and virtual collaboration. You will enhance your assertiveness and achieve better results.
The workshop is divided into 4 parts as follows:
Part 1: What is essential communication? In this module, the participants learn the models and characteristics of effective communication. In addition, they will also discover the 4 sides of communication that helps them develop their preferred communication style. Finally, they will discuss the different levels of listening through an assessment of their listening skills.
Part 2: Art of Questioning. In this module, the participants learn the vital skill to help check your understanding, clarify meaning and unveil the hidden needs of your communication partner. Using role plays, they will discover the customer requirements, use the right questions through a funnel technique and seek to find the stated and unstated needs of their clients.
Part 3: Meeting Skills & Conference Calls. In this module, the participants learn the 6 Ps of meeting management. These are Purpose: Why (goal); Product: What (outcome); People: Who (stakeholders, team members); Place Where (off site, conference room, phone); Process: How (Meeting Agenda) and Publish: (Who/What/When/Where/Why/How). The Participants should be able to create a realistic outcome and SMART goals from their meetings and conference calls after learning this module.
Part 4: Managing Difficult Conversations. In this module, the participants learn to define influence as getting work done by and through others in ways that do not require authority, hierarchy or force. They will also share the underlying goal of this module which is to Improve the quality of their Interactions/Conversations. Finally, they will learn and practice the 3 essential skills of Advocacy, Inquiry and Acknowledgement.

Trainers
Ramil Cueto, Principal Consultant & Director at C2C Consulting & Training Pvt. Ltd. (China).
Ramil has 10 years of experience in the learning and development industry and has been involved in all facets of learning solutions implementation. In 2009, he started delivering workshops and most recently, he facilitated a number of team development programs for Volkswagen Group China. He has also delivered training to Roche Pharmaceutical. Ramil is a certified trainer in negotiation, collaboration & positive influence, business innovation- thinking outside of the box and presentation skills. His dynamic facilitation style and story-telling approach engage the audience making learning energizing and fun. As a leader, he has established 3 companies since 1999, the most recent of which was in 2008. Prior to engaging in the learning and development industry, he worked in sales and business development and general management capacity for 15 years. Ramil has been living in China since 2004. Ramil has recently facilitated TLI Leadership Essentials for EuroChamber Tianjin Chapter.
