The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to join the next joint Automotive and Auto Components Working Group Meeting:KPMG 2017 Global Automotive Surveyat 9:00-10:30, 2 June, 2017at the meeting room of European Chamber Beijing office

The automotive industry is going through major changes in the coming years. Disruptive technology will have their roles in shaping this industry. China’s automotive industry and structures are young and much more flexible compared to mature markets. Chinese executives are not bound in ‘old’ structures and believe in change and therefore much more in the impact to all segments. In addition, better connectivity enables them to co-ordinate established trends such as car-sharing and pooling schemes, which make better use of space in densely populated areas. As urbanization continues and as the Chinese economy and car sales experience slower growth, customer data could also become more lucrative than vehicle sales.

 During the meeting, Mr. Huu-Hoi Tran - Partner, Head of Automotive, KPMG China,will share with you the survey results from the views of OEMs, Suppliers, retailers and ICT players on how these market players see the changing face of the industry. Changes are inevitable, but how all be prepared for the changes that is already happening globally and particularly China?

Born in Vietnam and growing up in Germany, Hoi Tran is an executive with extensive expertise and over 24 years of experience in international markets (Europe, China, SE Asia, Middle East, South Africa and Russia) as a consultant.
Since 2007 in China, Hoi has advised Chinese SOEs, MNCs and its JVs from strategic to operational topics and has going along with clients through transformation waves
He is former lead partner for the Automotive sector at Big4 and Automotive MD at a US-based management & technology consulting company in China
Currently, Hoi is VP and Head of Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace and Life Science (MALS) at Capgemini Invent

Hoi graduated at Darmstadt University of Technology and holds a Joint Masters Degree in Business Administration and Computer Science
