Warren Wayne, Partner and Head of Trade Secret Group, Bird & Bird
Warren Wayne is a leading lawyer, known for his handling of complex issues and his commercial guidance. He jointly leads Bird & Bird's International Trade Secrets Protection Group and is “renowned for his handling of contentious confidentiality matters & restrictive covenants” (Chambers Global). Warren specialises in a range of issues, with particular experience in handling sensitive and high value disputes, such as "Insider" confidential information and IP theft cases, discrimination disputes and drafting and litigating employment restrictions. In relation to this work Warren has been described as "a ‘rock' who ‘absorbs the pressure while maintaining focus on the main objectives'"(Legal 500, 2014). Warren work also includes international restructures and acquisitions, executive severances, discrimination disputes, data protection issues and complex employment disputes. He has represented clients in leading cases in the Court of Appeal & Employment Appeal Tribunal, and has an excellent track record across all the commercial divisions of the UK High Court and Employment Tribunals.
Andrew Macintosh, Associate Director, Control Risks
Andrew Macintosh is an Associate Director in Control Risks’ Greater China & North Asia practice, based in Shanghai. He leads on large and complex investigations involving technical forensics and e-discovery, public record research, source enquiries and data analytics. He has particular expertise in co-ordinating internal and independent investigations for companies subject to investigation by authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
Andrew previously worked in Control Risks’ Australia Pacific practice, based in Sydney, where he focused on the delivery of integrity due diligence, business intelligence, litigation support and problem-solving projects for clients around the world. Before joining Control Risks, Andrew was a tutor in Middle Eastern politics and international institutions at Macquarie University. He subsequently joined the NSW Crime Commission where he served as an Intelligence Analyst and then as Senior Technical Officer. During his time at the Commission he served on secondment with the Joint Asian Crime Group, the Joint Counter Terrorism Team and the Australian Crime Commission. While employed by the Crime Commission, Andrew was involved in the investigation of an extensive range of organised criminal activity both domestically and internationally including narcotics trafficking, terrorism, homicide, fraud and money laundering.
