Guangyuan boasts a rich conservation of resources and unique advantages. There are more than 30 kinds of mineral products proved that can be used for industry, plus the abundant natural gas, wind energy, hydroenergy, solar energy, terrestrial heat and other clean energy, it is the important energy base of Sichuan and the Town of Hot Spring of China. Five pillar industries including energy and chemical industry, food and beverage, electronic machinery, construction materials and metal industry, and textile and garment and biopharmaceutical industries, characteristic and strategic emerging industries have been formed. Now there are 68 enterprises from Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc., in it and communication with 124 countries and regions has been done. Fast development is seen in foreign investment, foreign trade, outbound investment, and tourism, cultural, investment, economic and trading communication and cooperation.
