In December 2015, Wired Magazine published an article entitled “How a Nation of Tech Copycats Transformed into a Hub for Innovation”. As Chinese companies have started to shake their titles as the “Google of China” or the “Tesla of China”, and as domestic tech companies such as Huawei, Alibaba or Mobike have started to move into, and be replicated themselves in other markets, the question of ‘are Chinese companies capable of innovation?’ has been answered.

In order to support Shanghai member companies to better fill in the awards application forms and understand the whole evaluation process when applying, we are organizing an information session at the Chamber Shanghai office on 21 April at 9 -10.30 am with experts from SYNTAO and GIZ to introduce the evaluation process and time frame as well as evaluation structures and answer general questions. We would like to conduct this process to ensure the case collection process and evaluation credibility are well communicated to the applicants.
