The European Chamber Southwest Chapter, together with CCIFC and Dragonfly Group, cordially invite you to the HR Workshop which will be hold in Chengdu on 4th December 2014.
The workplace environment is dealing with three generations (Boomers, GenXers, and now the Millennials) each with its own distinctive background, perspective, and approach to work and life.
In order to stay competitive, organizations have to identify and understand millennial employees, to ensure their ability to attract, manage and retain the right new talents.
What is the Millennial Generation?
The Millennials (Generation Y) are employees born between 1980 and 1995.
Like all generations, the Millennials’ approach to work is heavily influenced by the social, economic, political and cultural norms of their time.
They have developed work characteristics and tendencies from doting parents, structured lives, and contact with diverse people. Globalisation? World is flat? Internet?
Millennials values:
1. Work should be done on my terms, with flexible work hours
2. Work is for earning money to purchase things
3. Work should be fun, friendly, and personal
4. Work should involve creativity, variety, innovation, and diversity
5. Management opportunity should be immediate
