Dear Working Group Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next joint Logistics and Maritime Transport Working Group meeting. It will be held on Wednesday, 27 June, 10am-12pm, at the European Chamber Shanghai and Beijing offices via videoconference.
Following the visit of Mr. Matthew Baldwin, Director, Air Aviation and International Transport Policy, DG Transport and Mobility, European Commission, to China in May, the EU Delegation will provide us with updates on his visit and on EU-China cooperation (projects) in the transportation industry. The EU Delegation has kindly shared with us the mission report of Mr. Baldwin’s visit, which is attached for your reference. Upon the EU Delegation’s request, please note that the document is not for wider external circulation. Thank you for your cooperation.
Referring to the report, the National Development and Reform Commission has expressed interest in doing joint research with the European Union on the maritime route through the Arctic Sea. The EU Delegation welcomes your feedback on this initiative, so please share any comments that you may have at this meeting.

- Update on EU-China Cooperation in the Transportation Industry, Mr. Roberto Cecutti, First Secretary, Trade and Investment Section, Delegation of the European Union to China and Mongolia
- Q&A session / round table discussion on EU-China joint research initiative on the maritime route through the Arctic Sea
- update on lobbying activities
