The agenda is as follows: 

1. Presentation and Q&A on the VAT reform in Guangdong. Guest speaker Peter Law, Senior Manager from Mazars will be explaining the developments and answering any queries from Members of European Chamber, PRD Chapter.

2. Preparation for the Working level meeting with Guangdong Provincial Office, State Administration of Taxation (SAT). This working level meeting purpose is to give Members of European Chamber, PRD Chapter opportunity to raise questions to SAT about the new reform. During the WG meeting Members can decide on questions to be given about VAT reform implementation in GD to SAT. European Chamber meetings with government are open to all Members.

Guangdong Provincial Office, State Administration of Taxation (SAT), a provincial level department directly under the State Administration of Taxation, is in charge of the state's revenue work in Guangdong province. Its mandate is to conduct tax collection and administration of central taxes and the taxes shared between central and local governments, which include value-added tax, excise tax, income tax, vehicle acquisition tax and individual income tax of interests. Guangdong Provincial Office, SAT is also responsible for the administration of tax refund on exports.

3. Preparation for the Working level meeting with State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the AIC Guangzhou with Members of European Chamber > discussion on questions and issues to be communicated during this meeting.

Guangdong Provincial Administration for Industry & Commerce is the department directly under Guangdong Provincial People’s Government in charge of supervision and administration for the market as well as administrative enforcement of law. Its main responsibilities are:

(I) Enforce state guidelines and policies, laws and regulations on industrial and commercial administration; Research and formulate the policy of industrial and commercial administration in Guangdong province; Consigned to research and draft local regulations and rules concerning industrial and commercial administration as well as implementing it.

4. Brief Update on CIETAC Restructuring and the Local Arbitration Commissions.

5.  AOB - discussion on upcoming activities by Legal and Taxation WG, suggestions and comments from Members on the work of the WG.

Working Group meetings are free of charge for Members of European Chamber in China.
