The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to attend a series of Women’s Day events on Gender Diversity: Empowering Female Leadership In Business. These events will take place during the week of 4th March.
In Beijing, we are pleased to host female business leaders from our community who will share their personal stories and how their employers and communities have supported their career development. This event will be held from 13:30 to 15:30 on 7th March at the European Chamber Beijing Office.
We believe that fostering gender diversity and empowering female leadership is crucial for the success of businesses. As such, we invite you to join us for an insightful discussion and networking opportunity.

Ms. Xiaobo Zhang
Ms. Xiaobo Zhang
Xiaobo Zhang, nationality as China, an expertise in treasury and finance functions. Xiaobo has 19 years of professional and management experiences in top tier multinational companies across financial institution, Energy, manufacturing, international clearing and community organization. She is currently head of Group treasury and finance director in TotalEnergies China. Prior to joining in TotalEnergies in early 2020, she held corporate market Director role of SWIFT China. She spent 12 years and was Vice President in JPMorgan Chase Bank between 2006 to 2018 and spent 3 years in Motorola Finance team since 2003.
Xiaobo graduated from Peking University with a MBA and from Central University of Finance and Economics in Master of laws, holding two Masters and two Bachelor degrees.
She has proven tracking record and accomplishments in strategy, initiation, compliance and governance in executive group. She has gained reputation for her inclusive leadership and stakeholders engagement. Xiaobo holds as Chairman and sponsor to women network groups.

Xiaowen Ma serves as Senior Public Policy Manager for Infineon Technologies. She currently chairs the European Chamber’s Cybersecurity Sub-working Group. Prior to this role, Xiaowen worked as Senior Business Manager at the European Chamber, where she was responsible for the Information and Communication Technology Working Group and the Cybersecurity Sub-working Group, led the Chamber’s engagement with Chinese and European governments and other stakeholders in the ICT field, and provided counselling to European companies on market entry and regulatory issues, especially on cybersecurity, encryption, data protection and telecoms/cloud.
Xiaowen holds a Master’s degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris, and a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature from Renmin University of China.
Ms. Sunny Sun
Ms. Sunny Sun
Ms. Sunny SUN joined Bernard Controls in 2014 in the position of HRD of Asia and then meanwhile takes the responsibility of MD of Bernard Controls China. Sunny has 20+ years working experience in high management and in the field of HR.
Bernard Controls is a multi-national company as the leader of electronic actuators world-wide. Their Chinese brand has the teams of factory, sales, R&D and operation depts which enhance Sunny the management ability in crossing fields and diverse culture. Before Joined BCC, Sunny worked in Funcom China as GM and she also served for Kingsoft and Datang Telecom as overseas BD manager.
Sunny received her EMBA in Robert School of Maryland University and she also takes the economics master degree of Renmin University. As a professional HR expertise, Sunny has strong knowledge in leadership development, cross-culture cooperation and implementation of HR& business.
Ms. Sara Marchetta

Sara Marchetta lives and works in Beijing, China since 1997, where she practices the legal professions assisting cross-border investments between Italy and China, and became a partner of Chiomenti Law Firm (an Italian Law Firm) in 2011. She was involved in the assistance for the major Chinese investments into Italy and she regularly advises a number of Italian MNCs in their cross-border investments into China. She is also Board member of few Foreign Invested Enterprises in China.
She got university degrees in Italian Law and Chinese language and literature, and is an alumni of Peking University, Law School, where she attended an advanced learning program in Chinese law.
She has been the National Vice-president of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (2010-2014) and of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (2014-2017) and she is now the Chair of the Legal and Competition Working Group at the European Chamber. She is also the Cochair of the Cross Border Investment Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
Ms. Elaine Chen

Elaine Chen is appointed Vice President, DPDHL Corp Office Beijing in June 2022. Elaine is responsible for the political communication and representation of DPDHL’s interests representing Corp Public Affairs in the region.
Prior to her current role, Elaine worked in Honeywell China for 15 years, as Corporate Government Relations Senior Director of Asia Pacific and Key Account General Manager, Honeywell Building Technology. Elaine participated broadly in field of Aerospace, petrochemical, digital technology, etc.
Before Honeywell, Elaine worked in Intel Co. Ltd. Shanghai as Public Affairs leader.
Elaine is now the National Chairman of Logistic Working Group, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. She was the chairman of Shanghai American Chamber Government Affairs Committee for two years from 2017-2018, and Jinan Mayor’s International Economic Consultation Commission member.
Elaine obtained her bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Jilin University China, and master’s degree in Science from National University of Singapore.

With 15 years of diverse marketing and communication experience in Fortune 500 multinationals, top professional firms, and media, Ms. Kang is working with the Marcom forum of European Chamber to build a communication community for sharing trendy insights in circle of marketers in China.
As the Marketing Head in an international tech company with a strong digital specialty, she works with media, clients, government departments and associations in the digitalization sector to seize opportunities in the China market, especially in the industry sectors of manufacture, finance, retail and so on.
Ms. Michelle Zhang

Ms Michelle Zhang has been working for multinational companies and NGOs for years. She closely follows macro government policies especially in rail transportation sector. Prior to her current position in Knorr-Bremse Rail China, she worked for EU-China Trade Project II, Vallourec-Mannesmann, ABB and European Chamber of Commerce separately. She obtained degrees at Beijing Language and Culture University and University of International Business and Economics and studied in Murray State University in the United State as exchange student for two years. Now she is taking part-time MBA courses at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

Ninette Dodoo is a partner and head of the Antitrust, Competition and Trade practice of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and is based in Beijing.
Ninette spent over 10 years in Brussels advising on EU and multi-jurisdictional antitrust and foreign investment-related matters before relocating to Beijing in 2009. Ninette has extensive experience advising clients on merger control, antitrust investigations, and foreign investment review across a range of sectors including the technology, healthcare and life-sciences, consumer goods and retail, shipping and energy sectors. Ninette’s practice includes antitrust-related work in mainland China, Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. Ninette is ranked as a leading lawyer in legal directories for antitrust and foreign investment.
Ninette is a Co-opted Member of the European Chamber Executive Committee.
