Amidst the growing global economic and geopolitical uncertainties, industrial policy has taken a prominent role as nations worldwide formulate strategies and regulations concerning renewable energy, low-carbon technologies, and future materials. These developments are poised to reshape industries, especially in high-tech sectors like semiconductors, and exert a significant influence on global supply chains.
The Chamber is glad to invite you to an upcoming WG meeting on Global Industrial Policy: Clean Tech and Low Carbon future, on Friday 24th November 2023, 15:00-16:30. This event will delve into the future of global industrial strategy, its impact on clean technology, and the evolving dynamics of international trade, by examining the approaches taken by the EU, China, and the US to foster and establish themselves as leaders in the field of clean technologies through their respective industrial policy initiatives.

Mr. Ciarán HUMPHREYS
Mr. Ciarán HUMPHREYS
Ciarán joined I4CE in 2023, as part of our EU programme. I4CE – Institute for Climate Economics, is a non-profit research organization that provides independent policy analysis on climate change mitigation and adaptation. We promote climate policies that are effective, efficient and socially-fair. Based in Berlin, he works as a research fellow/project manager on EU climate investment and cleantech, particularly on how to mobilise European financial instruments to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative green technologies across the EU.
In his previous role, Ciarán worked at a climate change think tank E3G as a senior researcher, working on the Fit for 55 package and greening the EU fiscal rules.
Ciarán graduated with a Masters in European Public Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE).
Ms. Camille Boullenois
Ms. Camille Boullenois
Camille Boullenois is an Associate Director with Rhodium Group’s China Projects team, where she works on the analysis of China’s economic system, industrial policy, and market reform.
Before joining Rhodium Group, Camille headed the Brussels office for Sinolytics, advising clients on market governance and data strategies, as well as the regulatory challenges arising from the Corporate Social Credit System.
Previously, she worked as an analyst at China Policy and contributed to the EIU, Oxford Analytica, and the ECFR. Camille holds a PhD in international, political, and strategic studies from the Australian National University, where she wrote her dissertation on social mobility and entrepreneurship in the Chinese countryside.

Ms Zipei XU is a marketing and communication manager with PowerCell Group, responsible for brand marketing strategy for China market and PR relations.

Mr. Jet Chang
Mr. Jet Chang
Jet joined TOMRA on Oct 2017 and has been mostly working on policy advocacy and business development for circular economy transition. Before that, he worked for several international and domestic companies in the environment industry such as Haldor Topsoe China, Poten Environment and Derun Environment (a joint venture by Suez and Chongqing Water Assets Management Co.). From 2004-2011, he also served as senior commercial officer at the Embassy of Denmark in China for 7 years. Jet holds two master’s degrees from the Northwestern Polytechnic University and Nanyang Technological University, respectively.
