The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to our next Working Group meeting on Friday 25 March via Zoom (you will receive a link within 24 hours of the event). This meeting will consist of two parts.
The first part of the meeting will be the 2022 Chair elections of the SME Forum. Only SME Forum members who had their registration confirmed for this meeting will have the right to vote, with one vote per company. The voting instructions will be sent via email to individual attendees prior to the meeting.
The second part of the meeting will consist of two presentations. The first presentation is Leveraging the European Chamber to Benefit Your SME by South China Vice Chair, Mr. Fabian Blake. Following will be a presentation from the EU SME Centre discussing their services and how SMEs can benefit from them by Ms. Ester Canada.

During this meeting we will hold 2022 chair elections. Forum members interested in running for this year’s Chair elections, should take notice of the following:
Roles and Responsibilities
The Chairperson and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the development of the Forum. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chairs are a senior representative from an SME with relevant expertise who has the time and willingness to support the Forum. Previous participation in the Forum is essential. Before applying for the position of Chair or Vice-chair, we recommend that you obtain approval from your company.
The maximum duration of Chairperson or Vice Chairperson of a Forum is three consecutive years. Candidates are only eligible for Chair or Vice Chair positions if he/she is physically based in South China.
The SME Forum is going to elect one Chairperson and one Vice-Chairperson.
If you are interested in the positions of Chair or Vice Chair, please read the attached Starter Kit for Chairs and submit the following information to pdrucker@europeanchamber.com.cn before Friday, 18 March 6PM:
- Short resume/CV
- Motivation letter on why you wish to be elected Chair or Vice Chair, including:

- how your background and experience match the role
- the goals you have for the HR Forum over the following 12 months
- how you intend to utilise or share professional resources for the benefit of the Forum
