Please be informed that the date of the first Utility Services Working Group meeting in 2005 has been changed and will now take place on Monday 21st February 2005 in the new Chamber office.
Power is set to become one of the hottest topics in 2005, especially with the China Power Conference and Exhibition taking place in June (details below). The attached article, taken from the China Daily last Friday, demonstrates the continued need for a Utility Services Working Group to clarify the views and concerns of European Business interest in China.
This meeting provides an opportunity to brainstorm on the direction and scope of the WG in 2005. e hope to ensure the future of the WG by establishing an agenda of topics/issues to address at up-coming meetings and a lobby strategy for 2005.
Additionally, as you may be aware, both the Chairmen and the Vice-Chairmen left Beijing late last year. They provided valuable contributions to the WG and will be much missed. This meeting will enable the WG to elect a new Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen.
