Therefore automakers increasingly see themselves as both product manufacturers and mobility services providers, at the same time the business models inspired by the sharing economy and disruptive technologies are ushering the automotive industry in an exciting new age: the era of smart mobility. What are these latest Innovations for Smart Mobility in China? How could these innovations shape the future? 19:00 pm: Presentation: Reshaping the Auto and Consumer Ecosystem
By Mr. Qian Zhenyu, CTO, UCar Inc.
Zhenyu received his Bachelor’s Degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing and completed his PhD and Habilitation at the University of Bremen, where he served as Priv. Doz. for a few years all in the field of Computer Science. Following, he relocated to California, and then to Beijing, working in different roles,including as a PI for DARPA projects, security architect and executive for startup companies in P2P storage software and wireless service providing area, GM for Taobao’s Beijing R&D Center, CTO for Microsoft MSN Technologies in China and Principal PM for Bing’s Vertical Search in China. Zhenyu Qian is currently CTO for UCar Inc, a New-Third-Board (Over-the-counter Market for Growth Enterprises) listed company, responsible for building the company’s Internet services and products.
In his free time, he currently serves as a Vice Executive Chairman for Deutsch-Chinesische Allianz fuer Industrie 4.0 e.V., and was an Executive Director for China Computer Society for many years.

By Mr. Zhou Lining, Head of Business Unit Electronics & Electrification, FEV Powertrain Technology Co., Ltd.
Lining Zhou joined Cummins Inc. in USA in 2005 to work on embedded feature development for EPA 2007/2010 Diesel emission requirement. In 2010 he joined product team for diesel hybrid vehicle development, he has hold several US patents on battery and hybrid systems during the works since then. He also is responsible for vehicle calibration and lead NPI for aftertreatment systems during his tenure in Cummins. In 2016 he joined FEV to lead BE business on vehicle electrification and electronics.
Lining Zhou obtained his Master degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005 at the Florida State University (USA), specialized in power electronics and controls. And his Bachelor degree in Electronics and telecommunications in 2001 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
19:40 pm: Panel discussion: Shape the Future - Latest Innovations for Smart Mobility in China
Moderator: Torsten Oppel, Partner and Practice Head Automotive and Services, Detecon Consulting China (Deutsche Telekom Group)
Since 2011 Torsten Oppel is heading the automotive practice in China. Mr. Oppel has lead several projects in the USA, Africa, Europe and Asia in the fields of business process redesign, organization, CRM and CEM as well as big data/business intelligence and innovation management. He holds an MBA from Fresno (California), USA and a Master of Science in business from Passau, Germany. Before entering consulting, he worked for Deutsche Bank investment banking and completed a traineeship in banking. Publications include “Customer Experience Management in the Automotive Industry in China” and “Connected Car and Customer Experience Management: The next big thing for CEM in China’s Auto industry?”.

Joe completed his studies at Leeds Metropolitan University with a Degree in Business and Marketing, his first role after this was in the marketing team looking after OEM relationships for Royal Bank of Scotland’s Insurance Division. In 2003 Joe became the Head of Marketing at Jamjar.com an online vehicle sales business. In 2005 Joe started working for BMW Group in the UK as a product manager later moving to head the marketing department for the Financial Services Division. In 2014 Joe moved to Beijing to take up the role of Vice President of Marketing for BMW Automotive Finance. In the summer of 2016 Joe was appointed as the Head of Mobility Services for BMW China Automotive where he is responsible for developing and launching BMW’s mobility products.
