Every year in March, China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) and Political Consultation Congress (PCC) will be held in Beijing. The policies and regulations made at this event will directly affect the development of the whole industry. In the past years, these topics from the automotive industry discussed at the congress incl. new energy vehicles, car leasing and sharing, autonomous driving, used car development, etc are shaping the development of the industry. What’s more, with the urbanization and energy conservation and emission reduction, related policies and regulations are penetrating the industry as well. How to keep pace with New Regulations for the Automotive Market? After the National Congress, March Automotive Roundtable will gather the representatives, of related institutions and industry professionals to share their perspectives accordingly.

Ms. Hu Siyu is currently the head of Marketing Department at Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd (previously known as China Automobile Trading Co., Ltd), and her main duties are industry research, external consultation, government affairs, company strategic planning, branding and corporate culture. Her other title is: Director of Information Department at the Imported Car Working Committee of China Automobile Dealers Association. She has participated in the policy making for multiple automobile circulation industries. With 22 years of experiences in automobile industry, she is equipped with comprehensive insight, profound understanding and rich experiences in Chinese automobile industry and market.

Mr. Mats Harborn is Executive Director of Scania China Strategic Center with focus on long-term business development, He also serves as Vice Chairman of Scania Sales (China) Co Ltd. Mr. Harborn has been a very active participant in the Chinese public debate on the improvement of the transport and logistics industry. He has lived and worked in China for over 20 years with fluent Chinese.
7:50 pm: Panel discussion: How to Keep Pace with New Regulations for the Automotive Market?
Moderator: Mr. Jörg Wuttke, Vice President & Chief Representative China, BASF; President, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China
From 2001 to 2004 Mr. Wuttke was the Chairman of the German Chamber of Commerce in China. From 2007 to 2010, and again since April 2014 he is the President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.

Dr. Jie LI is Executive Vice President for External Affairs at Daimler Greater China Ltd., responsible for among others policies and regulations. Being in this function since 2003, Dr. LI is very knowledgeable of the whole political landscape of auto industry and well experienced in dealing with policy-making governmental bodies in China.
