Job description
To strengthen the Chamber’s Government Affairs department, we offer an internship position at the Chamber’s Beijing office. We offer regular training, an international and English working environment and an insight into the working style of multinational companies.
The current intern position will support the work of the European Affairs team, as well as the Chamber’s Standards and Conformity Assessment and Inter-Chamber SME Working Groups.
Major Duties:
- Organization and taking minutes of meetings
- Translation of various kinds of documents
- Communication with member companies
- Preparation of the weekly newsletter
- Handling of incoming mail and calls
- Doing research on issues designated by line managers
Skills & experience
Desired experience and background:
- University student currently enrolled in a degree (bachelor of third year or above, graduate students are preferred)
- Major: English, Economics, Management, Public Policy, International Relations, European Affairs and other relevant social science degrees are preferred
- Excellent oral and written command of Chinese and English
Duration (discussible): 5 days per week, 6 months (Preferably)
Start: as soon as possible
Please kindly note that, due to regulatory requirements, only Chinese nationals can apply for this position. Furthermore, this is a non-paid internship position for the first three months. Starting from the 4th month, the intern will receive a monthly stipend of RMB 2000. Upon completion of a six-month internship, the intern will receive a recommendation letter signed by the Secretary General of Chamber for future reference.
