China Policy is a globally-recognised policy analysis and strategic advisory firm headquartered in Beijing. We build client knowledge and provide tools to map, analyse and respond to China’s changing domestic and market environments.
We are currently seeking analysts to work in our trade and industry portfolio. Designation as a trainee analyst, junior analyst or analyst will depend on qualifications and experience. As part of a team, analysts support work across our publications and projects, gaining a clear understanding of China’s policy environment and developing strong writing skills.
As a trainee, applicants should be available to work for around one year
- for candidates preparing for PhD programs, these positions offer exceptional opportunities to broaden and deepen their policy understanding
- for those wishing to incorporate a gap year between degrees, we accept applications on a rolling basis to allow for forward planning
For junior analysts/ analysts wishing to continue at China Policy, positions will be confirmed on completion of a successful probation period.
duties
- keep abreast of domestic debates; signal events; trends; and key actors and agencies
- develop people and agency profiles
- analyse and assess policy movement across the sector
- summarise and translate policy-relevant articles from Chinese to English
- contribute, where appropriate, to other China Policy analysis tasks
- assist research managers with portfolio tasks
