OWA is a global leader in the building materials industry. For more than 50 years OWA has combined technical excellence and family-led business values to grow to an international technology, service and brand giant for mineral fibre board ceiling systems in more than 80 countries. OWA provides custom-made complete ceiling systems directly to specific building projects, or may work through local partners in varying types of distribution systems. OWA products may include features such as room acoustics, appealing design and fire protection as well as hygiene, moisture resistance, air purity, etc. OWA has been present in China with a manufacturing and sales operation in Shanghai for more than 10+ years and has a plan to grow in the China and Asian markets.
To expand our business we are looking for a China based Area Sales Manager (Asia).
Duties
– Advancing OWA’s strategic positions in China and Asia with key accounts, architects, builders merchants, contractors and authorities in the area
– Identifying, acquiring and assisting with the implementation of projects and distribution points
– In the field generating sales leads on a daily basis
– Providing excellent customer service to designated accounts
– Responsible for achieving the regional sales targets in China and Asia
– Developing sales planning, analysis and strategies for China and Asia and reporting these to the OWA Head of Sales
– Maintaining strong and cordial relationship with sales managers in the parent company in Germany and with local distribution partners in Asia
– To be a “trend scout” for the development of new products, services and distribution channels
Skills & experience
– Technical or business university degree or comparable education
– Minimum 5 - 10 years work experience and proven track record in the building construction or ceiling industry
– Fluent in English and Mandarin, German language advantageous
– Self-starting, goal-oriented, professional working style as well as outstanding presentation skills
– Excellent communication and people skills
– Entrepreneurial thinking and action with pronounced customer orientation and team spirit
– This position requires frequent travel
