About Automotive Roundtable Series
The “Automotive Roundtable Series” features a number of selected roundtable events, which aim to connect the industry, exchange ideas and discuss business opportunities and challenges in China. The Roundtables are conveniently held outside the chamber and coordinated primarily by G-I-Events. As the Strategic Partner to G-I-Events, chamber members will enjoy reserved speaking slots for presentation and panel discussion for the selected roundtables.

- China Used Car Market – Is the Expansion Era Coming? -
Although still in its early development phase, rapid growth of auto ownership has also injected new vitality for used car market in China. With the blooming of auto market in China experienced steady trade scale increase and structure optimization, the used car trade is growing as well. However there are still some hinder issues such as lack of integrity, evaluation criteria and after-service system, and incomplete policy and regulation and so on holding the growth back. Will China’s used car market make the shift from subordinate position to one of the dominant positions in auto industry? Will the used car go into a high speed, up-going development passage in the future? January Automotive Roundtable will invite the industry players including OEMs, related services platform to share their views.

Mr. Oliver Lajara has over 18 years working experiences in Automotive industry. Since 1998 he worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, USA for 3 years. Later he worked as a key account manager in SIXT Leasing from 2001-2003. From 2003-2009, he served as Senior Key Account Manager Asian Manufacturers for Eurotax Schwacke Germany. After that he worked for Hyundai Motor Europe as the General Manager focus on fleet sales & remarketing for 5 years. Since the beginning of 2015, he took the role as the director of fleet sales & used cars at Volkswagen Import, China.

From 2003-2013, Chenyi had 10 years working experience with BMW, MINI in both OEM & Dealers, by taken diversified roles in different areas, Sales consultants, Sales & Marketing coach for startup dealers, Area Manager, Dealer Performance Senior Managers, Customer orientation Senior manager, dealer coaching team lead and so on. Since 2014, he was the vice general manager in LSH auto group focusing on used car strategy for half year. At the end of 2014, Chenyi built up startup company "Beijing TGS IT" focusing on used car market service. Our brand "Chejianding" has generated more than 2 million used car reports in 2016 to support used car buyers avoiding used car buying fraud.

Mr. Shen Jun has more than 20 years of industry and management consulting experience. He is now Managing Director with Accenture Strategy Greater China. Before he joined Accenture, Mr. Shen was Senior Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and has been leading the Automotive Competence Center (ACC) in Greater China. Mr. Shen has served many leading MNC/local companies in automotive industry, covering a wide range of topics. Mr. Shen has in-depth knowledge and expertise in the functional areas of corporate strategy, merger and acquisitions, operational benchmark, organizational restructuring and sales and marketing management (especially on branding, channel optimization, pricing and new product launch), etc.

Mr. Farid Kandil, General Manager China Automotive Solutions DEKRA East Asia
Working for DEKRA group since almost 10 years, Farid is developing DEKRA Automotive Solutions’ business in China since 2013. Recently appointed as General Manager, he has before assumed responsibility in international Key Account Management and Project Management, operating from Bordeaux, France. From 2007 to 2011 Farid held Director Positions for Used Car Retail Performance and later Remarketing in Germany. Prior to his engagement with DEKRA, Farid worked for years in several 4S dealerships. Along his career path, he has been Used Car sales man, Used Car manager and Outlet General Manager.
