European Chamber Roundtable with Lingang Data Division

On 7^th April, the European Chamber and the Data Division of the Lingang Management Committee held a roundtable in Lingang to discuss the Lingang’s pilot measures for the cross-border data transfer (CBDT).

Mr Cao Yang, Deputy Director of the Data Division of Lingang Management Committee, Dr Hong Yanqing from the Beijing Institute of Technology, and other representatives from the Lingang Cross-Border Data Flow Service Center attended the roundtable.

The European Chamber delegation was comprised of representatives from various working groups and sectors including Cybersecurity, Legal and Competition, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical and Manufacturing.

The Chamber delegation put forward a series of questions and recommendations to facilitate the foreign enterprises’ CBDT.

The European Chamber’s dialogue with Lingang representatives was open and constructive, and the two sides agreed to more frequent exchanges in the future.
