Chamber Representatives Discuss Compliance Issues in Advertising with Shanghai AIC

On 27th September, representatives from the European Chamber’s Fashion and Leather Desk and Cosmetics Advisory Committee visited the Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce (AIC). The representatives met with Director Ying Jun of the Advertising Supervisory Division to share views on compliance issues in advertising.
Mr Ying and his colleagues gave an overview of how China’s Advertising Law is enforced and answered questions raised by the delegates. One of the topics discussed was the increasingly broad scope of advertising due to the rapid development of digital media.
The meeting concluded with both sides committing to continued and regular exchanges on how companies should comply with the Advertising Law.
