Chamber Discusses Corporate Volunteerism with Beijing Committee of the Communist Party of China

In partnership with the Beijing Volunteer Service Supervision Centre, the European Chamber hosted a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum meeting titled Corporate Volunteerism Development in China. At the meeting, Jessica Wang, vice chair of the European Chamber’s CSR Forum, met with Xing Guili, director of the Social Service Division at the Beijing Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Han Lu, director of the Member Service Department at the Beijing Volunteer Service Supervision Centre, to discuss what impact the Voluntary Service Regulation has had on China’s business environment, since its release in September 2017.

Director Xing pointed out that corporate volunteerism has received significant attention from the government and has become the driving force for voluntary service development in China. In response, Ms Wang stated that the European business community is more than happy to play a role in driving the sustainable development of volunteerism in China.
