Chamber Studies Presented to Tianjin Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs

The new work permit system was effective from 1st April, 2017, while this new policy has streamlined the process of gaining a work permit, there remains some confusion regarding its details, and how businesses can take advantage of it to attract new talent.

In order to alleviate some of that confusion, the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter invited Mr. Li Jian, Deputy Director of the Foreigners Working in China Division at the Tianjin Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs, gave members an in-depth interpretation of policy changes. This event provides executives with the rare opportunity to have the laws governing their businesses directly explained by the local government, while also allowing for active interaction in the form of a Q&A.

Mr. Gabriele Castaldi, Chairman of European Chamber Tianjin Chapter took the chance to present the chamber important studies Tianjin Position Paper and 2017 Business Confidence Survey to Director Li, explained our members' concern in work permit and visa application which mentioned in both publications, he also hopes both parties could keep the regular dialogue and exchange on this issue for members' benefit.
