Exclusive Dialogue with Shanghai Transport Commission on Information Platform for Dangerous Goods

Ms. Du Jian, Deputy Chief of the International Communication Division, opened the meeting by welcoming over 30 European Chamber members from around 20 companies.

Mr. Jin Xiao, Director of Traffic Control Center, introduced and demonstrated the function and operation of the established information platform for dangerous goods. Based on the GPS and the networks covering all companies operating dangerous goods transport, the information platform allows law enforcement to supervise the status of the goods in real time. 

Following Mr. Jin's demonstration, Mr. Li Qiang, Deputy Chief of the Road Transport Division, also briefed in details the regulations on the practitioners of dangerous goods transport and responded to industry's questions on supervision on the supervision over non-Shanghai vehicles, transport capacity and responsibility in the scenario of GPS breakdowns.
