Meeting with Chairman of the CCPIT

Mr. Joerg Wuttke, President of the Chamber had a meeting with the Chairman of the China Council of the Promotion of International Trade, Mr. Jiang Zengwei prior to the 11th EU China Business Summit held in Beijing. Joerg commented on the bilateral trade between China and Europe, the changes in the trade flow and the over-capacity in China. He said that the EU business community welcomes the investment from China, recommended Chinese companies operating in the EU to establish their own Chamber to enhance communications. He also suggested having more dialogues with the Chinese business communities. Mr. Jiang echoed Joerg's suggestion to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with the European businesses to learn from them, to jointly explore the third party market and to address concerns together. 

Ms. Emma Marcegaglia, President of Business Europe and Dr. Markus Kerber, CEO of BDI also voiced their opinions in the cooperation with Chinese companies, given the uncertainties in the world.
