Meeting with Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment, NDRC

Adam Dunnett, Secretary General of the Chamber leading a delegation met with Deputy Director General Liu Hongkuan at a joint meeting held at the NDRC. At the meeting, DDG Liu updated the participants the status of foreign investment in China in 2016 and his Interpretation of the 13^th FYP. Participants from the European Chamber and AmCham then talked about the difficulties in their operations, such as market access barriers, unequal treatment, inconsistent policy/regulation implementation at local level, security related issues and IPR protection, etc. DDG Liu thanked everyone for their input and said that he has taken note of all the issues. The NDRC will work on those that they are directly responsible for. For those that are not on their plate, they will coordinate with other authorities.
