Tianjin Chapter handed Tianjin Position Paper to the Vice Mayor

On 1st February, Dr. Christoph Schrempp, Chairman of the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter together with other board members presented the newly published Tianjin Position Paper to Vice Mayor Zhao Haishan, officials from Tianjin Commission of Commerce, Tianjin Binhai New Area and Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone also seated. Mayor Zhao thanked the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter for the valuable recommendations and proposal offered in the Paper. He gave an overview of the recent developments in Tianjin focus on Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone and Integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, as well as lesson learned from the huge explosion in August 2015. Mayor Zhao also elaborated the government working plan this year and expressed the willingness to set up the open dialogue mechanism between the chamber and the government to ensure effective communication.
Followed by this meeting, a working level meeting between member companies and relevant government authorities is confirmed and will be held shortly after the Chinese New Year.
