Dear AFB Working Group members,
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to join the 2nd AFB Working Group Meeting on Tuesday 20 March at 9:30am-12:00pm at the European Chamber Shanghai & Beijing Office via videoconference facility. The working group will be discussing AFB Position Paper with lead pens and active members on the overall timeline of the Paper draft process, as well as industry concerns, assessments and Key Recommendations (KRs). Attached please find the AFB Position Paper 2017/2018 in English and Chinese for your information.
The European Business in China – Position Paper (Position Paper) is the European Chamber’s primary annual publication. The 17th (2017/2018) edition of the Position Paper offers Chinese policy-makers 795 recommendations that draw directly from the knowledge and expertise of the European Chamber’s more than 1,600 member companies. In this year’s paper, the Chamber evaluates how the Chinese authorities have so far lived up to the commitments to economic globalization and openness expressed during President Xi’s speech at the World Economic Forum. It also looks at the pace of implementation of State Council Document No. 5, which was released in January 2017 and includes 20 points organized under three themes: (1)take further steps to open up to the outside; (2) further create an environment of fair competition and (3)further strengthen efforts to attract foreign investment.
Therefore, to fully reflect the concerns and recommendations of the AFB sector, your participation is highly valued.
