With the increased complication of the tax system and regulations in China, it has been observed that the China tax authorities have continuously strengthened their efforts in enforcement of tax compliance and collection of taxes. This in turn leads to numerous audits or investigations conducted by tax bureau and on different types of taxes. Companies with intra-group transactions with their overseas related parties are targets for investigation as well. How should taxpayers handle tax investigation in order to achieve a satisfactory outcome?
The European Chamber is delighted to invite Ms. Li Hui, Tax Manager from Deloitte, who used to work with the tax bureau focusing on tax investigation and tax audit for many years, to share her views on the topics as below:

• Introduction of the process and targets of different types of tax investigations
• Suggestions on how to respond to different types of tax investigations, i.e., the documents preparation and submission, communications with the tax authorities, etc.
