On 29 June 2018, National People’s Congress (“NPC”) has posted the draft of “Individual Income Tax Law of the People’s Republic of China” (the “IIT Law”) on its official website for public consultation. Overwhelming responses have been received. 自2018年6月29日《中华人民共和国个人所得税修正案（草案）》（“修正案草案”）在中国人大网公开征求意见以来，引发社会各界持续热烈的讨论。中国人大网收到的意见回复超过12万条。由此可见，大家的关注程度可谓空前。
The proposed IIT reform marked a key milestone in the history of the IIT Law. It is the most significant revamp in 38 years that is highly relevant to all companies and individuals. European Chamber Tianjin Chapter has now invited expert from PwC to interpret the draft amendment to be enforced. PwC has participated in the proposal and study of the IIT reform over the years.
