In 2017 it has become increasingly fashionable to refer to Beijing (and to Zhongguancun specifically) as ‘the new Silicon Valley.’ With clear government support for an entrepreneurial China, availability of significant funds from private venture capital and the emergence of idols such as didi and ofo, the pull of entrepreneurship and the desire for the ‘the start-up’ mentality has never been stronger. In this year’s Human Capital Conference we look at how traditional industries create a sufficiently vibrant and agile workplace in order to satisfy the entrepreneurial spirit of their workforce and to ensure they continue to have the tools to stock their talent pipeline.
The European Chamber invites you to join the 13th edition of our annual Human Capital Conference as we focus on understanding the current talent market and tapping the entrepreneurial spirit of your employees, hearing the best practices of HR leaders and executives from some of the world’s most famous brands.
At the conference we will cover and debate relevant topics including: the impact of culturally savvy retuning Chinese, the demise of the expatriate package, the second-tier reality, talent development, digital innovation and HR’s role in your company’s core strategic mission.
