European Chamber Nanjing is pleased to invite you attend the HR seminar on HR Compliance: What do you need to pay attention to when hiring staff in China?
First part
Workforce Management: Payrolling, Dispatching, Outsourcing or Direct Hire?
Historically, following the opening of China as a market economy, foreign companies were allowed to operate in China but couldn’t employ Chinese workers directly. Nowadays, international companies coming to China might still encounter challenges when it comes to the local labour law and fast-changing procedures.
In this first part of the HR Seminar, Lin Swik, HR consultant at FESCO Adecco, will highlight some aspects of the Chinese legal framework with regards to payrolling, dispatching and outsourcing solutions.
FESCO Adecco is the first joint-venture of its kind between an international and a Chinese firm in the HR segment. With offices located in eight major Chinese cities along the East coast, flexible workforce management is one of our biggest advantages. Besides corporate outsourcing solutions FESCO Adecco also offers recruitment, HR legal advice, employee benefits and other business services in and outside China.
Second part
Important considerations for Local- and Expat HR Administration in China
When you hire staff in China, whether local or expatriate, it is very important to have a good understanding of the local and international conditions and implications. For instance, it is important to grasp the meaning of labor rules and regulations as they can differ greatly from other countries, as well as salary levels and conditions.
In terms of having expatriate employees working for your company in China, you should consider whether their salary is paid in the foreign country or divided among different countries. This can increasingly complicate the individual income tax payable of the individual in China.
How to avoid common pitfalls?
Following the experience of Moore Stephens Consulting China, Michiel Vos will share important considerations in terms of local- and expat HR Administration in China and will provide more information on issues which many companies may often overlook. His aim during the second part of this seminar is to offer you some advice and suggestion on avoiding common pitfalls.”
