Even if we don’t take into account companies who may be actively cutting headcount, employee turnover and occasional employee disputes are an unavoidable reality. Companies need to protect themselves and ensure they are ready to deal with the difficulties of terminating an employee, especially one who they feel may be engaging in practices that are corrupt or potentially damaging to the company’s reputation.

According to the PRC Disabled Persons Security Law, which became effective on 1st July, 2008, enterprises are obliged to hire disabled persons as a specified ratio of their total staff.
In order to strengthen implementation of the PRC Disabled Persons Security Law, on 9th September, 2015, the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Bureau and the China Disabled Persons Federation jointly issued the Methods on Levying, Use and Management of Disabled Persons’ Employment Security Fund (Methods‌). The Methods stipulate that all enterprises in China must make contributions to the Fund if they do not hire a sufficient number of disabled persons.
