工业4.0，这个源自德国的热词是“第四次工业革命”的简称。工业1.0从蒸汽机的发明开始；工业2.0从1870年引进分工劳作的流水线开启；工业3.0是1969年开始的利用电力和IT系统升级自动化生产。而工业4.0将是智能生产——通过信息物理系统的应用，打通所有生产环节的数据壁垒，无线网掌控一切。
简单而言，如果说现在的自动化生产是人与机器对话，第四次工业革命将实现机器与机器对话。
