The European Chamber is delighted in welcoming Vivian Wu, a partner at Baker McKenzie and Lars Ake Severin, CEO at PSU China Consulting, to highlight steps companies should undertake to ensure they have appropriate compliance programs put in in place to respond to whistle blowing. This advice extends to how companies should respond if an employee brings forward accusations of misconduct or how they should react if they are subject to a dawn raid by authorities.

The European Chamber is delighted to be joined by authors Philippe Le Corre and Alain Sepulchre, who in their new book China’s Offensive in Europe, study the trends, sectors, and target countries of Chinese investments in Europe to explain why they consider China’s investment strategy in Europe as ‘a contrasting mix of economic opportunism and strategic vision’. The authors will highlight the broader impact of these changing patterns of investment; including the increasingly vocal calls for reciprocity from foreign companies investing in China.
