On December 28, 2013, the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress passed Amendments to PRC Company Law. In order to harmonize the existing corporate regulatory framework with the amended Company Law, on February 19, 2014, the State Council issue a Decision on Repealing and Amending Certain Administrative Regulations, including several ones affecting FIEs. Hannah Cao, Of Counsel of Steptoe Johnson LLP Beijing Office, will provide the working group members with an overview of the key changes brought by new laws and regulations. She will also share her views on the impacts of these changes and the prospects of China establishing an integrated FIE regime.
