The European Chamber is delighted to suppoty an exclusive seminar on trends in the maritime industry.
This seminar is for leaders in the maritime industry, held by the Port of Hamburg, the City of Hamburg, in cooperation with ClassNK, E3, Monvena, and Adoxin maritime recruiting.
Green port development in China and Europe, new optimized ship designs, an accelerated scrapping of vessels as well as new trade routes and an increasing seaborne trade for raw iron ore, coal and grain and a general increase in global trade triggered by stabilized “western economies” are seen. Furthermore, recent disasters, such as the sinking of the Korean ferry Sewol impact the maritime industry and bring implications concerning preparedness, in particular concerning crisis communication for which executives have to be prepared.
Executives and managers have to answer these questions:
• What are the recent relevant global trends in the maritime industry?
• What implications do these trends bring to organizations in the maritime industry?
• How can the management prepare themselves and their organizations to cope with these trends?
Executives and managers who are aware about recent maritime trends and implications take better decisions to avoid risks for their organizations, to define the right strategic and tactical priorities for themselves and for their organizations and thus will succeed in competition and create better organizational results.
This exclusive maritime event for executives and managers in the maritime industry and covers details about the following topics:
