On August 27, 2006, China passed a new Enterprise Bankruptcy Law after more than a decade?? preparation and debate. This law is said to give tougher backing to creditors??claims on insolvent companies and create a formal corporate-bankruptcy process.
John Grobowski, Partner at Baker & McKenzie LLP, Shanghai will give us an overview of the major issues of the new law and its impact on foreign companies operating in China.
