Speakers
Ms. Mary Chong
Mary Chong is the Partner leading digital and payments initiative for KPMG Advisory in China. She had more than 20 years of management and business advisory experiences through working with for over 20 years clients across a number of industries in US, Europe and Asia. Her areas of specialisations include market entry, business model, business and IT strategy, governance, business development in Asia. For the last 6 years., Mary had been focused in helping companies in the digital transformation and payments arena.
Prior to joining KPMG, Mary worked as a VP for Business Development for a third party payments company providing banking and payment solution. In that role, she had lead a team in Asia to help financial institutions to provide mobile banking, mobile wallet, mobile commerce solutions for their customers. This included helping the bank’s corporate customers incorporate mobile solutions to the customer’s collections and settlements processes.
Mary is also an active contributor of payments development to leading magazines and newspapers in China region.
Mr. Loaec Tang
Tang Loaec is the Managing Director for China of Oney Banque Accord and CEO of its affiliate in China, Oney Accord Business Consulting. He devellopped co-brand credit card programs in partnership with several core Chinese banks, as well as retailers prepaid card programs covering all China, tenth of millions of issued cards and billions in rmb spending. Lately, Oney restructured the payment terminal infrastructure of major retailer in China and is acting as a creative payment solutions integrator.
A business builder, Tang has been instrumental in the market entry to China of 2 international banks. Prior to his current role, Tang operated in various other markets throughout Europe and America, both in retail and in corporate & investment banking. Before pivoting the strategies of his current ventures toward payments, Tang developped specialised expertise in complex credit structring including project or air-finance, commodity finance, distressed assets management/investment as well as credit and market risks, for market leading financial actors in these fields.
