The European Chamber in Shanghai in cooperation with the Austrian Consulate General, Commercial Section, the German Chamber, the Norwegian Business Association and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to an information seminar on the New Labour Contract Law.
This seminar will explain the draft of the Labour Contract Law of the People's Republic of China which could become law in the second half of this year.
After a first reading in the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the draft has been made public for comments on the NPC's website until April 20th.
If the law is enacted in its current form many employers will need to review and restructure their labour contracts and human resources (HR) policies.
This seminar is meant to inform and raise awareness of the potential impact of this piece of legislation. We would also like to use this opportunity to collect the concerns of the European industry and channel them through to the Legal Committee of the NPC.
We are pleased to welcome the following speakers:
1. Dr. Andreas Lauffs, Baker & McKenzie. To view his presentation, click here.
2. Matthew Durham, Linklaters
