Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the Cosmetics Working Group meeting to be held on March 25th 2010, starting at 1:30 pm at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing and Shanghai linked up by video conference.
At this meeting, we will focus our attention on the key recommendations for the new Position Paper of the Working Group. Please find enclosed the word document listing the 09/10 issues as well as last year position paper.
As you may know, the Cosmetics Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chairs are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued (a general job description is attached).
Currently, Mr. Didier Saint-Leger (L'Oreal) is a candidate for Chair and Dr. Zhang Shu (FACOS) and Mr. Jacky Zhang (P&G) are candidates for Vice Chair in Shanghai and Beijing respectively.
Anyone else who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is also welcome and kindly requested to inform the Chamber, kekvall@euccc.com.cn, by March 18th.
