In August 2008, the Anti-Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China came into force. At this event, we aim to review what has happened over the past year as well as providing an update on recent developments. Issues to be covered include:
• Merger Control: the key decisions so far, and what they mean for M&A and joint ventures in China
• Enforcement under the AML against anti-competitive conduct: the story so far and what lies ahead
• Review of corporate compliance approaches with respect to the AML: training and training materials, dawn raid instructions, risk assessment, review and adjustment of template agreements
