On 20th August 2021, the Chinese Government promulgated the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), which will have taken effect 1st November 2021. Serving as China’s first comprehensive law in the personal information protection area, together with the Cybersecurity Law, and the Data Security Law, it will form an over-arching framework to govern data protection, data security and cybersecurity in China for years to come.
To better understand the new legal and IT challenges posed by the PIPL, in this event, our speakers will introduce the PIPL, and then provide real, practical and technical examples of security measures helpful to reducing risks.
Our speakers are experts in data protection and IT security and will guide you in this seminar to better understand this topic and how best to prepare your company. To start, Simone Ciampi, General Manager of Exprivia, will explain the technical aspects of these newly implemented laws and their implications for corporations. Following, Valentino Lucini will shed light on the legal aspects while he further introduces the Personal Information Protection Law. To close, Gianluca Giorgi will share his insights for blockchain and how this burgeoning technology solved the data safety problem.
