Please be informed that the inaugural CSR Forum meeting for 2009 will take place on Wednesday, 21st January at 09:00 at the European Chamber's office in Shanghai. Our guest speaker at this meeting will be Mr. Sam Lee, Founder and CEO of InnoCSR who will present on "How to create a sustainable CSR programme in China". China, with its unique business market characteristics, also has a unique CSR approach. The presentation will focus on trends/issues in CSR in China as well as the essentials for creating a sustainable CSR programme in China. We expect a lively Q&A discussion after the presentation.

- Environment Working Group will host a meeting on Friday, 9th January 2009 at 09:00. Guest speaker will be Mr. Benoit Vermander, Director of Ricci Institute and of the English-Chinese website http://www.erenlai.com Mr Vermander has published extensive reports on China's environmental and social challenges and is an inspiring and very knowledgeable speaker. He will discuss what are the internal and external factors that will determine China’s stance in 2009 on an issue that proves to be central for managing world governance? All CSR Forum members are welcome to attend. However, please register in advance.
- CSR Training in February. We are delighted to announce that due to the overwhelming success of the CSR training last year, CSR Asia will conduct a follow up training on 19th-20th February 2009. The theme of this training will be "Communicating CSR and engaging with the community in China". More details to follow but please mark your diaries with the date for this important training.
