2020 is turning out to be a critical year for the plastics recycling industry. The pandemic has caused unexpected disruptions just when the industry started gearing up to meet rapidly increasing demand. However, sustainability markets must continue to function and China is leading its way toward a more circular economy with strong consumer and regulatory push, and with packaging brand commitments to achieving the global 2025 targets set out by the EU.
In the process of building a circular economy, we recognise that many of the market participants are facing increasingly urgent challenges to transform their own business models to become more sustainable ones. And we are helping you in this journey. We are delighted to invite you to a webinar on circular economy and plastic recycling as an collaborated effort between ICIS and European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. Please join us on 26th November 2020 for an engaging and insightful discussion with experts with diverse backgrounds on the following topics:
- What are the latest regulations and policies on environment protection and plastic recycling in China?
- How would regulations and enforcement impact the recycled value chain?
- What are the opportunities facing plastic and chemical industry in this transformation?
- Industry collaboration and innovation is essential to create a truly circular economy – how can you play your part?
- How end-user consumer brands are driving their commitment to sustainability?
* The webinar will be predominantly in Chinese without translation services; English presentations will be paired with Chinese script.
