At the end of 2020, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China will celebrate our 20th birthday. Founded in 2000, the initial goal of the European Chamber was to establish a common voice for the various business sectors of the European Union and European businesses operating in China. This is still our raison d’être today.
For the past 20 years, the European Chamber has been helping European businesses to develop their presence in China, and providing both Chinese and European authorities with constructive policy recommendations. We will continue to advocate for the future.
To celebrate the accomplishments of the past two decades, the European Chamber will host a gala dinner at BVLGARI Hotel, Beijing, on 2nd December. With the EU and China having just signed their first-ever trade deal, the EU-China GI Agreement, we will incorporate a selection of European and Chinese GI products to be displayed during the reception, to celebrate this significant achievement.
We will invite around 250 high-profile attendees to attend this event, with VIP guests including ambassador of the EU Delegation to China, high-level Chinese VIPs, ambassadors from member state embassies, the European Chamber’s President, C-suite executives from MNCs.
