The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the Cosmetics Working Group's first meeting of the new year! Join us to assess past achievements with a view toward spelling out our priorities for 2005.
One hot priority for 2005 is the issue of Consumption Tax. Currently tax for skincare and healthcare products is 8% while for cosmetics including make-up sets it is 30%. Speakers will provide further information about this disparity and some thoughts on lobbying actions the WG could taking in order to reduce the tax for cosmetics and make-up sets in line with that for skincare and healthcare products.
