Dear Working Group Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Insurance Working Group meeting on Wednesday, 18 December at 14:00-16:00 at the European Chamber Beijing. Shanghai office will connect via video-conference.
In April 2018 at the Bo’ao Forum, President Xi Jinping made the commitment that China will speed up the opening up process in insurance sector. Since then, the China Bank and Insurance Regulatory Committee has announced a few , China has announced a few follow up policies to implement the commitments, including timeline to gradually remove the capital cap until 2020, and revising the Management Measures on Foreign Invested Insurance Company as well as its Implementation Rules.
To help our members better understand the new opening up measures, the European Chamber is honoured to invite the Division Director TANG Li, Division Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) to give us an update on the recent policies.
