Recruiting the right employee to the team is an incredibly important decision every manager needs to make at certain point. A successful recruitment usually makes a massive difference to the performance of the team and helps to avoid unnecessary costs that might come out of the recruitment failure. A recruitment interview still is the most common recruitment technique applied for selecting the final candidates. This one day highly participative and engaging session will focus on the structured approach where good preparation and specific skills and techniques help maximise the success of the recruitment interview.
In the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), there is a great variety of instruments available to help recruiters filter enormous number of CVs they receive. However, a recruitment interview is still the most common technique, at the very end of the recruitment process, when a final decision needs to be made. A recruitment interview, if conducted accurately, validates AI data via face-to-face talk and provides further information on the candidate’s attitudes, motivations and behaviours. The overall output of the recruitment interview shall unanimously say which candidate is the best fit for the role concerned.
Objective
The primary objective of this one-day session is to master skills necessary to conduct a successful recruitment interview to make it a structured and repetitive process. Participants will participate in a number of individual & team exercises to experience the real recruitment contexts. The exercises together with mock recruitment interviews will help the participants to develop a best practice approach in dealing with the challenges / or possible challenges at work.
Participants will be asked to do some introductory prework before the course and to bring along some examples of relevant job descriptions / specifications they would like to work with during the workshop.
