Yuqing is lead partner of PwC China Digital Operations Services. She has over 25 years management consulting experience.
Ms. Guo is core member of PwC Digital Redesign Business. Her focus is to apply innovative thinking and cutting edge technology to help cooperate clients identify digital transformation opportunities, implement digital transformation projects and provide digital operations services. She leads team to jointly create value with clients by providing end-to-end services, strategy through execution to operations.
Yuqing holds a master degree of University Hamburg and has 8 years management consulting experience in Europe before returning to China.
Mr. Alasdair Thong
Mr. Alasdair Thong
Alasdair is a Director in the investment team at Leaps, the disruptive innovation and venture capital arm of Bayer AG, a multinational pharmaceutical, crop science and consumer health conglomerate. He concentrates on the intersection of information technology and life sciences, and holds a particular investment focus on digital health, digital farming, regenerative medicine and cellular therapies and is responsible for Medopad and Blue Rock Therapeutics, among others, within the Leaps portfolio. Alasdair previously held roles in the life science investment teams of two leading European venture capital firms, Medicxi and Index Ventures, and completed investments into a number of companies including: Morphogen-IX, Epsilon-3 Bio, Methuselah Health, Z Factor, Padlock Therapeutics and Stealthyx Therapeutics.
Alasdair graduated with an undergraduate degree in Law and Mandarin Chinese from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. He was also a visiting student at Fudan University (Shanghai) and Beijing Normal University studying Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Echo Chen

Echo Chen graduated with PhD degree in Biotechnology at University of Cambridge, specialised in the development of genetic test for infectious disease. After PhD life, she worked closely with WHO and Global fund to improve infectious disease management in Africa. She is currently head of China of Medopad, a global HealthTech AI company with a vision to create a world where people can live longer. Headquartered in London with offices in the US and China, Medopad has been named a $1B Healthcare company in the making by KPMG.
Dr. Michael Schmidt
Dr. Michael Schmidt
Dr. Michael Schmidt is the Covestro Innovation Head APAC & Head of the Polymer Research & Development Center (Shanghai), Covestro, China, based in Shanghai. Over the past 18 years Dr. Schmidt has held various leadership positions within Covestro and before that Bayer, from which Covestro was spun off in September 2015. Dr. Schmidt holds a Doctorate in Engineering PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in Polymer materials from the University of Erlangen–Nürnberg, Germany.
Dr. Jin Hu

Jin Hu is an Investment Manager based in Shanghai, China. Prior to joining Evonik, Jin Hu established and led bp ventures activities in China since 2018, with focus on advanced mobility, energy storage, digital & AI technologies, bio-products, renewable and low carbon transformation. She also held several board director positions.
In 2008, Jin Hu started her professional career in British American Tobacco in the UK and subsequently joined bp through a leadership program. Jin Hu has over 12 years industrial experience in technology innovation, new product & market deployment, strategy and new ventures. Jin Hu holds a PhD in Nanotechnology and Electrochemistry from University of Southampton and an MBA from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
Mr. Andy Lei
Mr. Andy Lei
Andy Lei is the director of strategy for Walmart China. He leads the Walmart China omni-channel strategy development, strategical collaboration with key partners and strategical project initiatives. He is also the managing director of Omega 8, a Walmart centric startup ecosystem for retail innovation.
Andy previously worked in Trustbridge Partners, one of the world’s leading growth capitals. He focused on investment and strategic partnership in elderly care and international education industry. Before Trustbridge, Andy was a startup founder in TMT spaces and project manager, initiating and managing different International projects at a U.S. based tech company.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s of Sciences and Arts degree in Apply Mathematics and Entrepreneurship Management from Saint John’s University

Graduate of Dartmouth College, Majored in Engineering Management and Data Analytics.
Prior to Black Lake, Min worked at PTC, Boston Headquarter as project manager.
Mr. Kuan-Ting Lai

Kuan-Ting Lai joined RoboticPlus in April 2018, and now leading the team as COO. He gained expertise in Architecture Design, Computational Design and Robotic Fabrication from ICD (Institute for Computational Design) and ITKE (Institute for Building Structures and Structural Design). After graduated from University of Stuttgart in 2016, he worked at adidas’s Future Team at Herzogenaurach as Digital Creator prior to RoboticPlus. His open-minded thinking and project management skills have helped the team to grow and go beyond.
