With intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) being repeatedly referred to in policy documents released over the course of 2017/2018, the future of mobility is upon us. The convergence of the automotive and ICT industries will bring about significant disruption to previous business models and bring major challenges in complying with an evolving regulatory framework. In addition to foreign investment restrictions relating to the vehicles and various in-vehicle technology, new rules are also emerging to regulate liability, privacy, security as well as the testing of ICVs.
To help you better navigate the legal challenges associated with ICVs, the European Chamber is delighted to welcome Mark Schaub, International Partner at King & Wood Mallesons, to provide a comprehensive overview of the government issued guidelines. The presentation will be followed by a discussion with automotive and ICT industry players on the vehicle of tomorrow and the future of mobility.
